Our Yarn Split Service allows you to receive your yarn wound onto multiple smaller cones — perfect for colorwork, stranded knitting, or simply managing large quantities with ease.
How It Works
Select the number of cones you need, add this service to your cart, and we'll wind your yarn accordingly before dispatch.

Half — split into 2 equal cones (€0.50)

3 cones — split into 3 equal cones (€1.50)

4 cones — split into 4 equal cones (€2.00)

5 cones — split into 5 equal cones (€2.50)

6 cones — split into 6 equal cones (€3.00)
Important: Minimum Weight Per Cone
Each cone must contain a minimum of 100 g of yarn. Please ensure the total weight of the yarn you're splitting meets this requirement.
The Yarn Split Service cannot be applied to any pre-assembled boxes with pre-specified weights.
How to Place Your Request
- Choose the splitting option that matches your needs (e.g. "3 cones") and add it to your cart.
- At checkout, use the "Add special instructions" field to specify which yarn(s) you'd like split and into how many cones.
- Click UPDATE to save your note before completing your order.
Examples
Splitting one yarn:
You order 400 g of 100% Merino Wool in pink and want it on 2 cones. Add the Half option (€0.50) to your cart and write in the special instructions: "Split Merino Wool pink — 2 cones." You will receive 2 cones of 200 g each.
Splitting multiple yarns:
You order:
300 g Alpaca Mix, 500 g Merino Wool and 500 g Super Kid Mohair.
You'd like the Alpaca Mix split into 3 cones and the Merino Wool split into 2 cones.
Add the 3 cones option (€1.50) and the Half option (€0.50) to your cart — total service fee: €2.50.
In the special instructions, write: "Alpaca Mix — 3 cones; Merino Wool — 2 cones."
You will receive: 3 cones × 100 g (Alpaca Mix), 2 cones × 250 g (Merino Wool), and 1 cone × 500 g (Super Kid Mohair, unsplit).
